Project Objectives

The purpose of the Revising the Policy on Grade Point Average Recalculation project is to:

  • Examine the current issues that have emerged in the current recalculation policy that have had a negative impact on student success.
  • Propose a revised policy that address issues with the current policy; supports student success and progression towards graduation; and reflects policies of CIC institutions that desire to support students while maintaining strong academic integrity.
  • Submit the revised policy to the Senate Committee on Educational Policy (SCEP); and to the UIC Senate for approval if SCEP approval is obtained.
